Our Design Process
Discovery Call: A complimentary discovery call where we introduce ourselves, learn about you and your space, and discuss the overall vision and needs of your project.
Phase 1- The Consultation Experience: A 60-minute on-site deep dive where we connect, explore your project goals, discuss challenges and understand your unique style. After our conversation, we’ll provide a personalized design fee proposal created specifically for your project.
Design Fee Proposal: A scheduled Zoom meeting to review your customized design fee proposal, outlining our scope of services, associated costs, and what is included to support your project from start to finish.
Trade Day: Once you’ve joined us, we bring together our team and trusted trades for an in-home walkthrough. Together, we review the scope of work, ask the right questions, and set the foundation for a thoughtful, well-executed design process.
Phase 2- Concept & Budget: You’ll join our design team via Zoom for a curated presentation of initial design concepts, floor plans, and preliminary project investment. This is a key alignment moment, ensuring clarity and confidence before we proceed with design selections and construction drawings.
Presentation Day: Join us at the JoFer studio in Irvine for an immersive design review of your home. We’ll walk you through detailed drawings and thoughtfully selected material and fabric samples, giving you a tangible experience of what’s to come.
Phase 3- Procurement & Installations: At this stage, you can truly sit back and relax. With all major design decisions finalized, our team takes the lead—placing orders, managing deliveries, and overseeing installation. We coordinate closely with the contractor and trades to ensure the design is executed precisely as documented, while keeping you informed every step of the way.
Style & Shoot: This is where design meets emotion. Our team brings the final layer of styling to your home, revealing a beautifully curated, magazine-worthy space that’s ready to be lived in and loved.
Project Closure & final walk through: This is where we tie everything together. Our team stays through the very end—reviewing the completed space, resolving any final items, and ensuring every detail meets our standards. You’ll be presented with a project binder containing all care and maintenance information for the future.
